China GPO.,now as Chunghwa Post Co., Ltd., released a set of Yangtze river postage stamps on May 15,1993. included 5 pcs/set which are..as follows.

1. The head of Yangtze river stamp and meter.

2.The first bent of Yangtze river and meter.                       

3.The gorge of leaping tiger (Hutiao Gorge) and meter.

4.Qutang Gorge and meter.

5.The Lesser Yangtze Gorge and meter.

The head of Yangtze river.
The head area , the peak of Tanggula Mountains have been officially comfirmed to be the very head of the Yangtze river, is snow-capped year-round, with only very few chilly climate plants.

The first bend of Yangtze river.
Jinsha River runs an abrupt sharp northward turn from south, forming a "U" shaped bend at the
spot named Shigu, where it meets Yangtze River.
The area around Shigu is noted for the picture esque-scenic charms and terraced paddy fields.
It is, as well as, called "Lesser Jiangnan".

The Gorge of Leaping Tiger.
The Gorge spans 17km long between the upper and lower parts. Within this section, the water
level droped by as abrupt as 220 meters. This is the largest gorge of upper Changjiang, with the
narrowest part as small as 30 meters wide only.

Qutang Gorge
This gorge is also known as Kuimen Gorge,spans 8km long. It commands the most awesome
magnificence of all three gorgees. Mountains on both banks are 1,000-1,500 meters tall.
