A very nice, as well as rare, cover.
The privately perforated stamps are uncommon. Those used on covers are rare. Stories were told about how these stamps were created. However, none of them seems to have any "official" basis. Nonetheless, it is a fact that some fellow collectors are interested in them. Whenever similar covers appear, they would hardly go unnoticed.

I believe these anti-copy signatures have been misused. One should know that as long as it¡¦s mainly for research or study purposes and do not cause any financial damage to the owner, you can make a copy of it. Some of the reasons I understand why people do that is that many people are stealing the information in order to setup another web site, which, of course, I do not think it¡¦s the right thing to do. But again, even in US, I¡¦ve seen similar things happen here.
I was re-arranging my ¡§junk¡¨ US flag PNC stamps while sorting out my favorite plate numbers. Then I discovered that Y©çhas almost no listings on such item. Strangely, US flag stamps probably are one of the most abundant stamps anyone can find, yet it seems to attract no one here in Taiwan.

I would consider that PNC is a very specialized topic or area. It should not be a surprise that few collectors here are interested in PNC. Limited demand would not creat any significant supply. I remember having seen a few pages of a PNC collection that contained some pairs (two pieces). If my memory serves me correctly, some coil has a line on the perforation right by the stamp carrying plate number. I guess that some collector did not follow orthodox trend.

I think now I understand why PNC is not that popular in Taiwan after Mr. Swift¡¦s explanation. Ebay has a category of ¡§Plate Number Coil¡¨ under US stamps. Even it is not considered as an orthodox stamp collection, it is quite popular here (see figure 1).
PNC2 (a pair) is acceptable since they are the most economic way (well, sort of, keep reading) of getting both the plate number and the guide line ¡V called joint line pair, which is different from the earlier flat plate guide line pair. See the web link below
